Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt.2: Scenes From A Memory

這是我今年買給自己的生日禮物
當初會特別注意到DT是因為這張專輯的The Spirit Carries On
剛開始聽The Spirit Carries On的時候就一直覺得怪怪的
歌詞裡面出現幾個角色
後來找了些資料才知道，原來整張專輯是一個完整的故事
那時就決定要買這張專輯

故事裡面有五個人物

1.催眠師：主導Nicholas的全程催眠治療

2. Nicholas：一位經常為夢境中的女孩所困擾，終日惶惶不安，睡不成眠，不得不求助於催眠治療，回到前世一探究。

3. Victoria：Nicholas的前生，因男友Julian嗜賭成癮，屢勸不聽，在灰心之餘讓Ed乘虛而入，譜了一段三角畸戀，終至招來殺生之禍。

4. Julian (Sleeper)：Victoria的男友，因沈迷於賭，而且死得不明不白的，所以又稱為Sleeper。

5. Ed(Miracle)：Julian的弟弟，在Victoria傷心無助的情況下給了Victoric "奇蹟"似的撫慰，而自己平白無故"奇蹟"似的博得佳麗的芳心，所以又稱為Miracle。

故事源起於一位叫作Nicholas的男子，經年累月的為同樣一種的夢境所困擾，令他寢食難安，夢境中有一條羊腸小徑，通往一間寒氣逼人的房子，延著房內 的樓梯往上走，在頂端有一個房間，裏頭有一面鏡子，而鏡中是一位憂愁的少女影像。他知道事出必有因，或許與前世的因果有關，於是乎Nicholas求助於 催眠治療，經由催眠師多次的催眠，Nicholas終於解開了謎底。
